This fragrance was gifted to me for review, and it made a strong first impression. Scandal Pour Homme Intense opens with a bold blend of clary sage and caramel, balanced by a warm vetiver and tonka bean base that adds depth and masculinity. The packaging is nice, as ive said in the past, i love that they add a suede box to make it feel just that much more luxury. The scent is rich, seductive, and long-lasting — perfect for evenings or cooler weather. While it leans sweet, it maintains an elegant sophistication that stands out without being overpowering. A confident, modern fragrance for men who like to leave a lasting impression.

This stuff smells amazing—clean at first, then warm and rich as it settles in. It starts off fresh and a little spicy, then turns into this smooth mix of wood and leather that feels bold but not too heavy. Think confident, grown-up, and a bit mysterious. The bottle looks great too—dark, solid, and super high-quality—and it even comes in this fun velvety box that makes the whole thing feel extra special. Nice scent and long lasting smell

A lovely scent, it smell amazing a bit like a hint of Vanilla. It lasts a good 8-9 hours. I got a lot of comments from friends and family when ever I wore it. It came in very nice packaging and the design over all of the perfume bottle was good. It’s now one of my favourites and I would buy it again. The price is quite reasonable.

Perfect for nights out

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I was pretty surprised by the velvet packaging itself it reminded me of some of the other lines they have.. However this is might seem pretty strong at first it does end up dying down after 30 mins its got a sweet, leathery smell to it which is perfect for those nights out when you want to dress up and look/smell amazing It seems to go better with the cooler evenings but would last around 6-8 hours

Classic Scandal but more Mature

A nice new take on Scandal, it has the well known Scandal DNA with a mature take, the note of Leather is very very minimal and makes the DNA not as sweet as the others. This has been and will continue to be my go to Fall Scent

A bold, sweet, and long-lasting fragrance that stays true to the Scandal DNA with added richness. The opening is fresh and sweet with clary sage and tonka, settling into warm woods and a soft leather touch. Great for cooler weather and nights out, but can be too sweet or heavy for daytime or summer wear. Longevity is excellent, projection strong early on. Not super unique, but if you enjoy sweet aromatic scents, this is a solid choice."

The experience starts with the premium presentation: a heavy, darkened glass bottle with JPG's signature gold crown cap, housed in a velvet box. It feels weighty and confident. The atomizer delivers a generous, even spray. The scent opens with a sharp, green kick of clary sage, quickly grounded by smoky vetiver and a rugged, sensual leather finish. It's bold, strong, earthy, and classy—ideal for evening wear, not the office.

Solid, polished leathery and woody scent!

The Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal Pour Homme Intense is a new 2025 release in an Eau de Parfum (EDP) concentration. It is officially classed as a leather woody scent profile. It opens noticeably brighter and fresher than previous Scandal flankers, featuring a fleeting herbal minty freshness from the Clary Sage. The leather is not a heavy, animalic, or raw type. It is described as a smooth, semi-sweet suede. This is leather done in a mass appealing and sexy way (the "Gaultier way"). The intense version is less sweet and more grown-up compared to the original, with the sweetness being more blended and restrained. The dry down uses a dry woodiness (Vetiver). It has a bold, powerful profile. It is best suited for a night out or cooler day wear (Fall, Winter, and Spring). It is considered too heavy for office wear. Performance is solid. Longevity is expected to be 8 to 10 hours easily. It is a potential compliment puller. It is a solid release and super likable. However, it is seen by many as redundant if you already own the original or Le Parfum, functioning more as a "re-imagined, tweaked version of the original" rather than a standalone scent.

I absolutely love the smell! The staying power is really good. It feels luxurious to hold and the spray is good. You don't need much so it lasts a while!
