Why did you change the formula?

I’ve been a loyal user of this product for quite a while, and I have genuinely loved the results it used to provide. The original formula had a consistency and effectiveness that really made it stand out from anything else on the market, and I recommended it to many others because of how well it worked. However, with my most recent purchase, it feels like the formula may have changed. The texture seems different, and it doesn’t deliver quite the same results I had come to trust. If there has been a reformulation, I think your customers would really appreciate some transparency about it, because the previous version truly set a high standard. I really hope you’ll consider returning to the original formula or at least offering some clarity regarding any modifications. Customers like me stick around because of quality and consistency, and I would love to continue purchasing confidently without worrying that the product has been altered in a way that reduces its effectiveness. This brand has always seemed to care about its customers and reputation, and I hope that commitment continues moving forward. Thank you for hearing this feedback, and I’m hopeful that it can contribute to keeping this product as great as it once was.

TOP NOTCH! Does what it claims.

I use this at night instead of a night cream. Very little is needed after serums. It’s beautifully hydrating. I’m in my 70’s & have tried it all & I insist on good quality & that it does what it claims. This I ended up using it nightly. was originally purchased as a weekly mask, but it’s so beautiful

The only thing that worked for my sensitive skin

This is the only product that works on my sensitive, dry, acne prone skin without stinging when it feels extra irritated. I've tried multiple "barrier repair" products (e.g. Skinfix, Tower 28, Laneige) in the past with no success but this has been absolutely amazing. It is a balmy texture that starts off almost solid but melts into your skin with your body temperature. Reminds me of now discontinued Ren Overnight Recovery Balm.

Miracle product - got rid of my facial eczema. I use it every night. For extra moisture I use the regular Keihls moisturizer underneath, wait a few mins, then apply this. LOVE

After using this Product it did nothing and also break me Out horribly. Expensive and bad

Skin Saver

I have severely damaged barrier from acids. I have been trying to repair it and Cetaphil was not cutting it. One use and I woke up to beautiful skin. It doesn’t feel or smell great to me going on but the reaults are so worth it!

Saved my chronically dry skin

I live in dry Southern California. When I hit my early mid-40s, my face really dried out and became very sensitive. I tried so many products. Now I use a cream cleanser on the t-zone only, the Midnight Recovery serum and this mask every night. This mask made a huge difference! Better than any other dry skin moisturizer I tried. As other reviewers have said, it has a funny smell, but it’s not overwhelming. I don’t even notice it anymore and I’m very sensitive to scents. A little goes a long way and it does absorb in nicely. I use half of a dime sized amount on my whole face. Definitely recommend!

Another favourite Kiehl's product

Where the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream is my go to day cream, Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Face Mask is my absolutely favorite night cream. It isn't intended for daily use, but I have gone through long stretches where i use a very thin layer every night. The squalene has really reduced redness on my sensitive skin and helped a lot with dryness. It is extra helpful during the winter when i feel like a dried out corn husk. My skin always feels incredible when I wake up. I also used this on my tattoos when they were a week or two into healing and it worked wonders on keeping them hydrated.
