Shiny and smooth

I received this Kerastase genesis shampoo as a complimentary sample. The bottle is compact, which makes it easy to travel with. I like that the bottle is transparent, so I can easily see how much product is left/used. When using this shampoo, I instantly smelled the clean citrus scent. It gave a very clean feeling. The shampoo creates a lot of foam which makes it easy to spread through your scalp and hair. I did not feel like I needed to keep reapplying as this foam lasted and allowed me to really work the shampoo into my hair. I have pretty long hair so I usually need to reapply shampoo as the foam dies off, but this had a good lifespan and let me get to all spots with one application. The shampoo claims to detangle, which at first, I did not agree with. When my hair was wet, I felt it was tougher to brush through. I could feel a texture change in my hair almost immediately. However, once I managed to comb it out and or air dried, I was amazed by the smoothness. My hair was extremely shiny and I didn’t have any frizz, which is almost impossible to achieve when air drying my hair. I found my hair to look sleek without it being weighed down, and my natural waves were still apparent. Overall, I still found myself washing my hair the usual amount of times per week, so I didn’t feel it make a difference in my oil production. However, I did feel it prompted a smoother texture and made my hair look healthy. I would recommend this shampoo!

Almost perfect

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] So this shampoo is very clarifying, but still leaves my hair soft after use. I have fine, average density 4b hair and I use this once a week. I wash my hair twice a week and found that while I can use it, I did need to switch my styling cream /leave in routine so that my hair didn't feel too dry. If I use anything lighter than grease/a heavy butter, I find a single wash is fine. Two lathers can be too much if I just used a oil, cream, or gel. It does say this is for normal to oily hair so that is fine. That being said, I've noticed less breakage in the shower when I wash and my coils are very defined even when using the same stylers as before and nearly no manipulation/combs. I just mist, fluff, and the coils are there! I tried it with the matching conditioner and my other conditioners and I like it best in the set. It seems to soften the hair in prep for the conditioner whereas it's too stripping for most of my other conditioners. My biggest downside is that it's a bit too strong for my already dry-prone scalp and can leave it dry after washes. I have a scalp serum that I use that does the trick, but a touch more hydrating would be amazing.

Decent

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] The smell is good, however, it is a bit on the stronger side. It feels nice but I wouldn’t recommend it over other shampoos which are more effective and budget friendly. It’s a decent product, but not worth the money imo.

Great product!

I have been using this product a couple weeks now and love it. It leaves my hair feeling clean for a couple days. I can go longer without shampooing now. I also love the scent. The only thing I didn’t like is the cap, I don’t want to have to screw it off and on.

Moisturizing and cleansing

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This shampoo is very effective at cleansing while adding moisture and not having too heavy or thick of a texture. It’s a great value because a little goes a long way.

Overly greasy hair the next day

I was fortunate to have received this product for free from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. Although incentivized, my reflection of Kerastase Bain Nutri-fortifiant Shampoo and mask has not been compromised. I have straight, 1B type hair, color treated, healthy but some heat damage. I absolutely love the smell of this shampoo and mask! Oddly enough, It reminds me of the pink Chanel tendre perfume mixed with Irish Spring Soap. It’s a very fresh fragrance and strong. I love the strong smell but I know others may be sensitive to it. The fragrance does last in my hair until wash day. Now, wash day does come sooner and that’s why I knocked a star down. I’ve used this product for a good month before reviewing and I get the same results every single time- greasy hair! I’ve shampooed only the roots of my hair, double cleansed, and rinsed extra. I’ve used small amounts of the mask on just the ends, and extra rinses. I always get greasy hair on day TWO that looks like I went a good 4-5 days without washing. So, this formula is very hydrating and smells beautiful, but I will not be purchasing again.

I received this product, complementary in exchange for my honest review. I am a huge Kerastase fan. I use several of their products in my hair routine. I love the scent of this shampoo. All of their products have great fragrance. I do think it does an excellent job with helping my damaged hair. It can be a little pricey, but they run sales all the time. and for how well it works it is well worth the cost.

Nice shampoo

Really like how this shampoo leaves my hair soft and fresh. It lathers nicely and keeps my scalp balanced. I’ve seen a big improvement in reducing hair fall from breakage. Took off one star because the scent is strong, but overall a solid choice

Healthy and shiny hair

I double cleanse and the shampoo offers a luxurious lather each time to ensure proper cleansing. You only need a pea sized amount with each use, so the bottle will last a decent amount of time.

My Hair Loves This Stuff

This shampoo makes my hair feel so clean without stripping it. It lathers nice, rinses out easily, and leaves my scalp fresh and clean. I've noticed less shedding and breakage since using it.

Great shampoo

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This product was pretty good. It smelled nice and it made my hair clean. I get really oily hair and this worked on my hair well! The only thing is I would say I prefer pump packaging, but the packing itself wasn’t bad, just not my taste.

good shampoo

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I lose a lot of hair in the shower due to breakage when I shampoo/condition. I didn’t notice a difference in the shower itself, but I did see a reduction in breakage during styling. The vast majority of breakage happens in the shower for me, so I expect results may change for the better in the mid-long term. The product itself has a slightly thinner texture than the shampoo that I am used to, but that shouldn’t detract from its fortifying capabilities at all.
