Evercalm - Maschera Lenitiva

I have combination skin. I’m obsessed with this stuff. I put it on before bed and it relieves that tight dry feeling all night without feeling sticky or oily. And it doesn’t make me breakout.

I can't live without this product now.

I have rosacea. My skin is always pink like I’m wearing too much blush, and sometimes (stress, temperature changes, anxiety, too much sugar or caffeine….it’s a long list) it flares up which makes it look and feel like a bad sunburn: extremely red flushed, and radiating a ton of heat. The surface temperature of the flared parts of my face (cheeks, nose, under chin) is over 100 degrees Fahrenheit while the unaffected area (forehead) is 97.5. It's awful. I started using Ren products in addition to the prescription I've used for about a year, and they have made a big difference, especially this product. I use this to calm flare ups and I don't even rinse it off, I just rub it in like moisturizer and the redness and heat is reduced by at least 50% within 30 mins, as opposed to several hours, or even a full day, without it. Previously, I'd been literally strapping ice packs to my face for relief because nothing else worked or even helped much. Now I just gently rub in a thin layer of this cream and it immediately starts feeling better. Cooled, soothed, and the redness starts to fade. I also use the redness relief serum, the gentle cleansing milk and the global daily barrier cream. Even my day-to-day pinkness is reduced. I actually had to put blush on the other day because for the first time in decades, just powder covered ALL the red tones in my face and washed me out! Further, the minor skin inflammation/swelling that is associated with rosacea is noticeably reduced, especially on my nose. I’ve already recommended all the products, the entire Evercalm line, to my sister and mother who also suffer from rosacea, and I STRONGLY encourage anyone with rosacea to try these products. I’m so grateful to, and for, this company and its products. My rosacea isn’t completely gone, because it’s an autoimmune condition and not curable, but it’s dramatically reduced and the flareups are significantly less common and less severe. It’s actually manageable now. Literally life-changing.

This stuff is great!

I have very sensitive skin and the rosacea red typically goes away at night when sleeping but comes right back as soon as I get up and start moving around. I have been using this mask as my night cream and it has been wonderful. It feels so nice and cooling going on and has really helped calm the red down during the day. It is not completely gone, but definitely improved.

Irritated my skin

I initially tried this as an overnight mask as some reviewers indicated good results, however I ended up with red, irritated, dry skin. After letting my skin heal, I tried it again and left it on for 15 minutes as instructed. Again, the mask left my skin dry, irritated, and red. Looking at the ingredient list, there are a few suspects as to what may have caused this but my top suspect is Citronellol, which is a known skin irritant. It's generally used for fragrance but can trigger skin aggravation so I don't see the benefit of including it in a mask meant to soothe. If you are sensitive to Citronellol or other citrus/lemon type ingredients then read the ingredients closely and approach this mask with caution. I have used the Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream with good results so had hopes for this mask but alas it's a hard pass.
