I don’t feel as though this product helped to remove makeup, even with a second wash. I’m still left with residual makeup when toning afterward. Not a fan.

Amazing!! I use this (oil based) with a water based cleanser to double cleanse and it's genuinely whats got rid of the bumpy texture on my skin. Super good value as well.

Gentle and effective

I've been using it for the past 2 years and I love it. It removes my makeup really easily and gently cleanses my skin. I have normal skin, a slightly oiler t-zone and it works great, even though it's recommended for dry skin.

just as it should be

honestly good cleanser, I used it for a month together with niacamid and zinc serum and natural HA cream complex, at the end of the month I just cried. because after tons of years of very expensive cosmetic, this complex I saw the REAL results. my skin was much smoother then before, post acne scars less visible, and I am getting comlements from close friends and husband. they ask what I changed.

The cleanser that doesn’t clean

I thought it was absolute rubbish. A cleanser with no cleansing qualities, using this feels like slathering cheap cream on your face and hoping it will get clean. It doesn’t, it just leaves an unpleasant residue and makes it impossible for toners and serums to properly penetrate the skin. A complete waste of money and time.

Excellent Makeup Remover

I use this as a first step in double cleansing when I am wearing makeup. I rub a quarter size amount in my hands, spread on my face, massage in all over, then wipe off with a cloth or cotton rounds. I do not recommend using it to take off mascara (eyeshadow is fine), and it doesn't completely take it all off and kind of stings. I have sensitive, dry & tight skin with a lot of redness. It's never caused a breakout & doesn't make my skin dry after using. Overall I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable makeup remover/1st step in double cleansing.

Nice consistency. Removes most make-up. No residue. Not the best cleanser but well priced for its effectiveness.

Skin softening, but doesn’t remove makeup

I am a big fan of this brand overall and decided to try this cleanser for my sensitive, combination skin that has hormonal breakouts and dry patches simultaneously. This creamy cleanser is helpful for regulating the sebum levels in my areas are hydrated- no more flakes and no more oil! However, it’s not great at removing my CC cream so I do use a micellar water as a first step, then this, then a hydrating toner. The “trick” to using this to get my skin so soft is to gently massage it onto dry skin with dry fingers for a solid 3-5 minutes and then use just the smallest amount of water to begin the removal process. For example, after massaging into skin I get my fingertips wet and keep making circles all around my face - this loosens all the dirt debris gently so I am not stripping my skin. Then I dampen one of my bamboo washcloths to fully remove the rest, using a fresh cloth each time. Thanks to The Ordinary for using a minimal amount of botanicals and zero fragrance of any kind!!!
