This fragrance is an absolute showstopper, and I'm not just saying that because my husband can't walk five feet without someone complimenting him when he wears it! From the moment I saw the bottle, I was captivated. It's so sleek, so sophisticated, truly embodying that "black lacquer" name. It just looks incredibly chic on our dresser. But the scent... oh, the scent is something else entirely. It's described as an amber woody fragrance, and that's accurate, but it's so much more nuanced than just that. The "incandescent black lacquer accord" gives it this incredible smoky, opulent depth that I've never encountered in another perfume. And the Makassar ebony wood note? It truly does evoke hints of leather and birch, creating this rich, almost mysterious warmth. What really seals the deal for me is the "dark peony accord" that blooms beneath all that richness. It adds a subtle floral touch that prevents it from being too heavy or masculine, giving it a universal appeal that I absolutely adore. It's no wonder it won "Fragrance of the Year - Universal Luxury" at the Fragrance Foundation Awards – they nailed it. Not my fav

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This is a classic example of how something smells different in the bottle/air than it does on a person. When I opened it and sprayed I liked it, a little musky, a little citrus. However, when I sprayed it on my person and then got a whiff of it on my wrist it really smelled very sour. I am going to try to give this to someone that will use and enjoy.

The packaging is nice and feels and looks like quality but I do not like the smell of this. It is also quite expensive but all tom ford is to be fair. The scent lasts long and stays on your skin for quite some time hut I just did not enjoy this one.

Must have

A pass for me

My son has been using this daily! He absolutely loves it. It’s so strong and last all day! I will be buying more as gifts for others.

Another hit

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Not a bad fragrance at all. I gives me this church kind of smell. Has the woody smoke to it with a bit of the ink in the back to it that goes away a time passes and just leaves the woody smoke but itself. Has a nice longevity to it and of course has the classic signature Tom Ford packaging we all love.

Not for me

Not unisex at all to me unless you're into those peppery musky scents. I tried pairing it with other fragrances I have and this one always stole the show. Last all day so that's a plus! Classic Lovely Tom Ford packaging always a plus!! Not my thing but did smell good on my boyfriend! Spicy peppery musky scent

Fragrance Not For Me

I received this product for free in exchange for my review. The quality of the product is amazing. And the bottle is very cool! The fragrance is very bold and long lasting but was too woodsy for me. Personally just not the scent for me or my partner unfortunately.
