Good formula. Bad packaging.

I genuinely like this lip balm. The formula is great: nourishing, non-greasy, and very comfortable to wear. It does exactly what it promises, and that’s something I really appreciate about The Ordinary. However, the packaging is a real issue. Once the product starts running low, it’s almost impossible to squeeze out what’s left. I was shocked to find that around 20–25% of the balm was still inside the tube but completely unreachable. I had to remove the nozzle and use a cotton swab to get the rest out. Which isn’t ideal from a practical or hygienic standpoint. In short: great product, but the packaging needs a serious redesign. No one wants to waste a quarter of their product. Because of this, I don’t think I’ll buy it again.

Great product . Bad packaging.

I love this. It’s a great product. The texture is just right and it really helps my lips. However, I thought I had finished mine and decided to cut it open in case there was some left inside and was astounded to find over a quarter of the product still in there . The packaging really needs to improved!

Save your money

It feel great going on but that’s it… it’s odd but I swear it makes my lips worse? I am an avid lip balm person and never use “chapstick” type lip products so I was super excited. I’ve tried it in summer and winter and legit it just is mid. Feels good cute container but not moisturizing for real. Just sits on top.

I am NOT addicted to this lip balm!

I have been "addicted" to chapstick for my entire life, starting with that yellow tin from the 90s. Up until finding this product, I would use chapstick 10-20 times a day. I went on a hunt for something better than the stuff you can by in the checkout isle at the grocery store because something changed - me or the product - and it started giving me a metallic taste, and I couldn't even drink water. But this stuff is different. I use it maybe once a day on a normal day. Doesn't leave my lips greasy or a taste in my mouth. It's the BEST. I'm confused as to why it's doesn't have more 5 star ratings! I am here to buy a bunch right now because I'm so worried it might be discontinued! The container is small, but at this rate it will last me a long time. The only thing is that I wish was different is the packaging shape, which is perfect for falling out of your pocket, and it won't fit anywhere other lip balms would normally go (which isn't a dealbreaker, as I only use it once a day!).

Best lip balm ever

I am on my second little squeezy flask of lip balm, wouldn't be without it. Lips are in super condition! While it is really rich, it doesn't feel greasy. It also works wonders as a cuticle cream.

Love and hate

LOVE the product! Hate the applicator. I have arthritis so the applicator is difficult to squeeze. Also, how hard will it be to cut it open to get the last bit out? This should be in a pot.

Huge fan of The Ordinary but hated this product. It made my lips DRY! Waste of $

Nice lip moisturizer.

I like this lip moisturizer a lot. I would not call it a balm. It is more like a liquid/gloss. But it is nice. Even though it's a small container, it lasts! I would recommend.

Love the lip balm.Feels wonderful. Absolutely hate the packaging. The only thing it has going for it is it's cute. It's so hard to squeeze the balm out. And you can't get it all out without cutting it open. I would love to buy it again, but in a straight tube made with less rigid plastic. Would give it 5 stars with better packaging.
