Bad reaction

I bought this cleanser to use as the first step in a double cleanse routine. The first couple of times I used it everything was fine, but then the next time my face was left feeling irritated, hot and sore. I developed red patches, lumps, spots and patches of dry skin. Took me a couple of days to realise that it was the cleanser causing it. Very upset because I had good skin before this, now it’s so sore and my barrier is definitely damaged.

My forever cleanser

Ill never use another cleanser again. Takes off makeup including tubing mascara like a dream.

D'habitude j'adore les produits The Ordinary mais là je trouve qu'il fait pas grand chose... Pour nettoyer oui à la limite mais pour démaquiller je vous le recommande absolument pas.

A must have for sensitive skin

I love this makeup remover! It doesn’t leave my face feeling oily and it does an amazing job at taking off all types of mascara. I highly recommend for sensitive skin (I am very acne prone).

Doesn’t remove make up. Hard to get out of bottle.

I love The Ordinary products but this cleanser simply does not work. It does not remove light make up. I end up with streaks of mascara all over my face and loads of product to remove with toner afterwards. I wear light make up, nothing heavy. The tube is also difficult to get product out of. It feels empty very quickly and you have to remove the cap to squeeze it out and then eventually cut the bottle to use what’s still in there. I will continue to buy my other products but definitely not this cleanser.

I've been using both this and the Glycolipid cleansers alternatively for a while when washing my face and love the way in which they cleanse the skin and the moisturised feeling afterwards. My skincare regime is either side of the day and on one side of the day I usually shower / bath so use these then. Whilst both are wash off cream cleansers, on the other side of the day, I use wipe / tissue off cream cleansers followed by the rest of the skincare regimes. I am unable to find the latter type of cleanser from The Ordinary, so have to buy another brand which irks me somewhat.
