Best thing for oily skin

As girl with a super oily T zone this stuff is the best, I have repurchased it 4 times and it is the only moisturizer I will use on my face. Everything else will break me out but this works wonders

So lightweight and non-greasy and gives my skin a glassy finish, literally reflective. works so well for my acne prone boyfriend as well!! non-comedogenic and gives excellent hydration all day.

Not my favorite

It was okay. Not something I would purchase with my own money. It left my skin feeling tight and dry. It have combination skin. It’s a pretty good size tube and wasn’t strong scented.

Everything I Wanted: Sans Moisture?

Ingredient-wise, this looked like everything I wanted: beta glucan, NMFs, urea, etc. Texture-wise, it’s a refreshing gel that feels nice at first with no excess shine. But minutes later, the hydration vanishes. My skin feels dry, almost as if I never applied anything. So when does “lightweight” become too lightweight? :? I tried all the tricks in my arsenal: layering hydrating toners, applying on damp/dry skin (even semi-damp/dry skin) misting thermal water on top. Alas, same result every time: all gel, no moisture. Since I’m beyond the return day window, I’ve been trying to use it up by adding some drops of facial oil or mixing with another moisturizer, however, that defeats the purpose of using this as a stand-alone moisturizer. Is it awful? Not really. If you’re truly oily, this could work, especially in summer or the for those in disbelief of using a moisturizer due to having oily skin. But for most skin types, it’s too bare-bones, and could pill and/or cause breakouts from some of the lipid components. I think The Ordinary could really improve this by reformulating. Right now, it’s basically a water gel with a sprinkle of NMFs, leaving it tacky in both texture and value. By adding more glycerin, ceramides, and NMFs, this could become a proper water gel-cream. Even 5% urea would give it a boost, and the product could then compete with more expensive brands, like SkinFix, Tatcha, or Prequel! Overall, I had high hopes but was let down. Fingers crossed they revisit and relaunch this one with a better formula. *And yes, I’ve tried and know about The Ordinary's other moisturizers...Don’t come at me, ya’ll.

Extremely Positive Results!

Like so many people, I am not one to write a review but I wanted to share with you how my skin has completely cleared from acne/excessive oil since starting using The Ordinary. I am 39 and have struggled with acne all my life, I have always had daily spots, tried multiple antibiotics, roaccutane, contraceptive pills and various teen to adult skin care ranges from high st to expensive brands and under the care of skin specialists and never found a routine that has consistently worked. Having done lots of research and read countless reviews on The Ordinary I decided to give them a try. During the first 4 weeks I saw a mild purge and a noticeable improvement, I am now 2 months in and I can say my acne is gone. I thought I would share my routine to anyone like me who has suffered for years and endlessly searching for a cure. Morning Routine 1. The Ordinary Glucoside Foaming cleanser (double cleanse - removes makeup) 2. The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% with Zinc 1% (pea size amount) 3. Eucerin Factor 50 Oil Control Sunscreen (use as moisturiser) Evening Routine 1. The Ordinary Glucoside Foaming cleanser 2. The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% z with Zinc 1% (pea size amount) 3. The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% (pea size amount) 4. The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors with Beta Glucan In the first 4-6 weeks I used The Ordinary Charcoal Face Mask once a week in an evening which helped clear my skin but no longer need to use this now. You can’t use the Azelaic Acid the same evening you use this, all other products listed above can be used the same and back to normal the next night. The BEST gel moisturizer for oily skin!

I am 39 and late to the skincare game but let me explain… I just started noticing signs of aging and congestion. I am very oily, I wear make up almost every day, I live in a very hot and humid climate and I have never found a moisturizer that worked for me in these circumstances, until this. This is the first moisturizer in my 39 years on this planet that I have actually liked the results from. It absorbs nicely into my skin. It makes my skin super soft and I can wear make up over it without getting oily or my make up melting off halfway through the day. It’s gel, which blew my mind because I’ve never come across another gel based moisturizer for oily skin. My skin has become smoother with smaller pores and less redness. I think this can work for all ages!

It’s pretty good

I love this product, but sometimes when my skin is very dry it does not moisturize well. Other time when it is more oily it works a lot better. Otherwise it is cooling and lasts a long time. I’ve had this for a year now and it is still like halfway full.

Absolutely a must have!

A great moisturizer. I usually don't use all of an entire product. This one I used to the last bit. It's a grl but doesn't leave the skin feeling sticky or greasy. It absorbed right in. Not a strong scent at all but left my skin firmer, plumper and glowing.

Best mosturizer without grease feeling

This mosturizer saved my skin during hot summer and proved to be the best during a trip to the desert. My skin loved it, it absorbed well, protected my skin from dehydration and didnt feel heavy or grease. One of my basics from now on.
