I love this shampoo. I live in a very mountainous region of Tennessee. We have a lot of minerals and metals in our area which affect the texture of our hair. My hair is naturally thick, coarse, and wavy/curly Irish hair, so even on a hood hair day, it can be a struggle to achieve soft, smooth looking texture. Add the fact that at 49 yrs old, because I'm getting close to menopause, my hair is also getting drier as the years go by. I switched to sulfate free shampoos only several years back and have noticed that many times, my scalp can at times not feel like it's getting clean enough. This shampoo has made improvements on every issue I've been dealing with. It is very thick and rich. A little goes a long way! It lathers up into a velvety lather and effectively cleans my scalp. Once rinsed, it also leaves my thirsty hair feeling moisturized, not parched. Even before using conditioner. My hair a softer, bouncy and light feeling. I also appreciate the scent. To me, the grapefruit note is the most noticeable. All in all, I give it 5 stars.

I'm thrilled to share my experience with the L’Oréal Metal Detox shampoo, which I received as part of an incentivized community. Although my hair is not curly in the photo provided, you can tell how smooth and frizz free my hair is, after just a week! The only reason it didn’t get a 5 star is because for people with finer hair, or who don’t bleach, color or live in a place with hard water, this isn’t the product for them necessarily.

Must have with hard water

We have well water and I wash my hair every day, I know I shouldn't, but I do! My hair is dark but gets a brass look to it from the well water and it gets pretty brittle and damaged. I was interested to see if the L'Oréal Professionnel Metal Detox Sulfate-Free Shampoo would help my hair at all. It has a nice consistency and lathers up very nice. It rinses out well, without feeling overly dried out. My hair doesn't feel weighed down or heavy. It feels very clean, light, and much softer after using this shampoo just once. The fragrance is beautiful and lasts all day. I have had quite a few compliments on how healthy and soft my hair looks since I started using this. This shampoo will definitely be a staple in my hair care routine from now on. I received this product as part of an educational promotion in exchange for my honest review.

Healthy, Shiny, and So Worth It

I just turned 30 and recently went from blonde back to brunette, and my hair was feeling so dull from all the color changes. The L’Oréal Metal Detox Shampoo has been a game changer. It makes my hair feel clean and light without stripping my color. My brunette looks richer and healthier, and my hair finally feels soft again. Definitely worth it if your hair has been through a lot.

great shampoo!!

i have only used this shampoo two or three times but so far i’ve noticed that i love the consistency of this shampoo and the lather it gives me hair. it’s super creamy and fluffy and thick. i’m so happy that my hair felt super clean after but not stripped. i hate when i wash my hair with a detox shampoo and it feels so dry after and not even super clean. i can feel the difference in my hair compared to other shampoos ive used. this is definitely one of my favorites when it comes to detox shampoos. the packaging is also nice and sleek and it also smells amazing !! l’oréal always has such amazing products from their hair care to their makeup. they’re really been killing it recently!

I received this product as an educational promotion. I was surprised by how soft it made my hair feel. I really like the scent of it too. My hair is really damaged from coloring and bleaching my hair so much. I’m excited to keep using this!

A must in your hair care routine

I’ve been using the L’ORÉAL Detox Metal Shampoo for a little while now, and I can really see the difference it makes in how my hair feels after wash day. The formula lathers nicely without feeling too heavy, and it leaves my scalp feeling super clean yet not stripped or dry. I especially like that it targets metal buildup, which is something I didn’t even realize could affect my hair’s health and shine. After rinsing, my strands felt lighter, smoother, and a lot less weighed down. The scent is fresh but not overpowering, which I appreciate. If you struggle with dullness or product buildup, this shampoo feels like a reset button for your hair. I would highly suggest this shampoo to those who need it.

Really impressed!

I’ve been eyeing this line for a while now since I have hard water at home. I didn’t know what to expect but I definitely did not expect it to be as moisturizing as it was! I have super oily hair but sometimes using a regular clarifying shampoo is way too drying for my scalp. This shampoo is creamy but does not weigh down my hair. Left my scalp nicely moisturized. I honestly don’t think I’ll be going back to regular clarifying shampoos. I think this helped a bit with my bleached balayage from getting too brassy. I might be able to get away less purple shampoo/conditioner days. I don’t mind the scent. I’m very pleased with this product.

great for my hair

I live in southern california, so the water in my shower/tap really isn’t the greatest for my hair OR my skin! Which is why I was happy to get to try this metal detox shampoo by L’oreal Professionel! I do have a filter on my shower (that probably needs to be switched out though) and that helps a little, but I do still sometimes think my hair feels dry and brittle (I also have highlights) so I was excited to try this shampoo! First of, you get 300 ml/ 10.1 fl oz of product, and the bottle is rather soft, so it’s easy to squeeze out the product! It’s a creamy type of consistency, which I like! It makes it easy to spread onto my scalp and hair, and it really does make my hair feel soft and clean quickly! I usually follow with another shampoo, as I always double cleanse, but I have also used just this product by itself. As I rinse it out my hair feels soft and conditioned, even before I have applied conditioner! I also think the shampoo smells really nice. I will absolutely keep using this, and I do recommend it to other people as well!

I usually love their products, but this was a miss for me. I have tried other heavy metal products and loved them but this one was a miss. It actually left my hair feeling more damaged. I will note I have very porus hair so I think that might be a factor why I didn't see the same results. I can't recommend this based on my experience.

Love the way my hair feels and smells!

I really love this product. I have been using it for a week. I definitely feel like my hair is lighter and has a little more volume. The smell is fantastic. And for a sulfate free shampoo the lather is luxurious.
