I received a sample of Jean Paul Gaultier “Le Male” Le Parfum through Influenster, and I’m seriously impressed. The scent opens with a strong, spicy warmth that feels both masculine and elegant. It has rich notes of cardamom, lavender, and vanilla that blend beautifully, creating a sensual and sophisticated fragrance. The longevity is excellent — it lasted on my skin all day without fading. I’d describe it as a perfect evening or fall/winter scent, though it’s versatile enough for special daytime occasions too. Definitely a standout cologne for anyone who loves deep, intense fragrances. I’m considering getting the full-size bottle!

A refined, modern take on the classic Le Male, war
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Le Male Le Parfum, launched in 2020 by Jean Paul Gaultier, is an Oriental Eau de Parfum for men, crafted by perfumers Quentin Bisch and Natalie Gracia-Cetto. It reinterprets the iconic Le Male (1995) with a darker, more sophisticated profile, featuring top notes of cardamom, heart notes of lavender and iris, and a base of vanilla, oriental, and woody notes. This fragrance is marketed as a refined, masculine scent, it’s housed in a sleek black torso-shaped bottle with gold accents, signaling its bold yet elegant character. These are my thoughts after trying this sample on my skin. In terms of the fragrance profile, I find this to be warm, spicy, and having a sweet aroma, it’s like a mature evolution of the original Le Male, which I also own. The opening burst of cardamom delivers a soft, spicy warmth, often noted as “smooth” and “refined,” setting a sophisticated tone. The lavender and iris heart notes create a vibrant, slightly powdery floral accord, with the lavender evoking a candied, caramel-like quality that many find irresistible. The base, dominated by creamy vanilla and woody notes, gives a seductive, faintly licorice-like dry-down that feels both cozy and luxurious. I really appreciate its balance of sweetness and spice, to me it’s not overly sweet and I think it’s unique. Longevity is a strong point, I can report 8-10 hours on skin and even longer on clothes, making it reliable for all-day wear. Projection was moderate, it created a noticeable but not overwhelming sillage of about 1-2 meters for the first few hours. This fragrance is awesome due to its versatility, suitable for casual, formal, and evening wear, particularly in fall and winter due to its warm, spicy profile. In terms of the packaging of the full presentation, this features the iconic torso-shaped bottle, now in matte black with gold accents and a red velvet base, it is a standout, almost “a work of art.”
