Ce parfum à l’esthétique bien léchée est une petite pépite. Lorsque la prune rencontre la fève de tonka ,on a une intensité incroyablement unique . Il renferme un sillage ambré épicé qui ne laisse pas indifférent. L’odeur reste longtemps sur la peau , les vêtements. C’est une très belle découverte.

Right off the bat, this fragrance smells really smooth — a mix of sweet vanilla, a bit of mint, and something deeper that gives it a more grown-up vibe compared to the original Le Male. It's sweet but not overly sugary, and it feels super rich. The performance is crazy good. Just two sprays and it lasted all day for me, with people around me still noticing it hours later. It's definitely more of an evening or cooler weather scent, but honestly, l'd wear it whenever I want to feel a little extra. If you're into sweet, warm fragrances that stand out without being too loud, you'll love this one.

Interesting packaging, great product

I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review from both Jean Paul Gaultier and Influenster. First of all, I do love product packaging, especially since it catches your eye and overall seems “expensive” when you’re the consumer buying these products. I’m really not sure as to why this would be packaged in a soup can, but I mean at least it’s gold!… However, once you do remove the fragrance, the product itself looks amazing and I love the bottle it comes in. I’m not used to getting fragrances with locks on it, but i’m not sure how I feel about it especially when there’s no cap to cover the spray nozzle. Instead, it’s a lock and I do tend to take fragrances on the go with me in case I need a refresh. Personally, I do prefer a sweeter scent for daily use, but I do think this is something i’d wear on occasion (just my preference!) The overall scent is quite nice - it is a sweeter fragrance with woody undertones. Personally, I do pick up hints of lavender and i’m really not familiar with plum notes in fragrances, so that could definitely be what else I’m interpreting! A sweeter scent mixed with woody undertones, this fragrance is perfect for everyday use and even for a night out. The gold bottle is beautiful, besides for my own thoughts on having a cap, but this is definitely a long-lasting fragrance that you don’t need to continue reapplying throughout the day. I’d highly recommend this scent to anyone, but personally it probably won’t be my everyday go to!

Amazing Must Have

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Smells amazing! Amazing for winter time or evening out. Packaging is very sleek as is with most JPG’s. Would definitely recommend. Different from other JPG as well. Last a little less than others but still an amazing fragrance. More on the expensive side but I would definitely invest.

This design not only pays homage to the original but also elevates it, making it a standout piece in any collection. Le Male Elixir Absolu — A Sweet, Plum & Tonka Bean

After having tested this fragrance for about a week or so (across a variety of occasions that I would usually wear fragrance) I must admit that JPG continued to impress me with their new releases. Initially, off the first spray, I was instantly reminded of the original JPG Le Male Elixir DNA, but after a few moments to let it dry down, that is where I began to pick up on the plum note. Off the top, Le Male Elixir Absolu is a fruity, slightly spicy blend and it does feel rather strong in the beginning. As it continues to dry down, the scent becomes smoother and creamier than the original Le Male Elixir, and to my nose it’s slightly less sharp. This fragrance still has that honey sweetness and the smell of a lavender-vanilla blend that the Le Male Elixir has. I do even pick up a bit of an iris note, though the fragrance itself is not exactly focused around it. The mid and base definitely lean a bit more heavily into the sweet tonka bean than Elixir, which has tobacco, unlike Elixir Absolu. As a whole, I feel as though amplifying the sweetness of Le Male Elixir does restrict it to being worn in the colder weather, particularly for the fall-winter season, since in my experience it did seem rather powerful in projection. This scent itself lasts around 8-9 hours before it fades entirely into a skin scent: the first 2-3 hours the projection is rather strong, then by the 3-6 hour mark, in my view the fragrance sits rather close to skin. Around the 7 hour mark it does become a skin scent, but it does linger for a good while, and the late dry down is very pleasant. I also tried its longevity overnight (to avoid becoming noseblind to it immediately) and after around 11 hours, I still could pick up faint traces of the scent lingering on my skin. However in regular, daily wear, I was only able to pick up on my own scent for the first 7 hours or so. Bottle packaging is very nice, as usual for JPG’s, and it follows the similar bottle design to JPG Le Male Elixir. In terms of price and value, and also considering this fragrance’s strength, I do believe owning both Elixir and Elixir Absolu doesn’t make sense due to their similarity, and I would have to prefer Absolu for the scent profile that seems a bit more mass appealing and enjoyable to me. I do believe that if you are interested investing in a quality scent, the 125 mL is a great option by JPG, though since I have a large collection myself, the 75mL would be more than enough if I were to purchase this scent. Even at this price-point, I do believe the perfumery is really nice, and I do enjoy the smoother blend of the fragrance, so I do believe this release will be liked and enjoyed by many, even those who are only getting into collecting fragrances.

Unnecessary release, but good fragrance nonetheles

Elixir Absolu is yet another flanker from the Le Male line, drawing off the popularity of the original Elixir. Absolu brings about a few slight changes from the original whilst keeping the same foundation. It is still sweet with an added plum note, making it a little fruity instead of purelt syrupy. The added patchouli also grounds the fragrance and makes it smoother. However, the combination and strength of all the notes can make it smell synthetic or overbearing to some. Overall, it was not a necessary release from the brand, but nonetheless, some people may prefer this over the original including myself. It would be redundant to own both, but if you own neither, it at least gives you 2 variations to pick between.

The addition of plum to the top notes is a pleasant surprise that is absent in the original. This seems to be a creamer, smoother version compared to the Elixir. An overall woody, aromatic fragrance that would be great in the fall and winter, or a relaxing summer evening.   In my opinion, the plum note here makes all the difference. I consider this a step-up from the Elixir and a welcome addition to the JPG lineup. The bottles retain their classic beautiful aesthetic that is sure to stand out in any fragrance collection. I highly recommend this new release from JPG!

Réinvention du mâle classique, odeur surprenante👍

Le mâle comme jamais. Une réinvention réussie : plus intense, plus charnel, sans jamais perdre l'ADN de l'original. L'odeur est incroyable ambrée et vanillée. Elle reste longtemps sur la peau. Parfait pour les soirées ou un rendez-vous romantique. Super emballage, la bouteille est très belle.
