Loved this formula, felt so hydrating, gave a nice subtle tint but it broke me out so badly and I don’t have sensitive skin. I wish I could keep using it :(

Hydrating Peptide Lip Butter – Burro labbra idratante
beautiful for 5 seconds, but burns lips over time
As a huge fan of the plumping lip glace (which acts like a lip-smoothing plumper rather than an irritant-based plumper), i was severely disappointed by this product. Upon application, I loved the sheer brownish-berry colour (sort of like a Clinique Black Honey dupe). Although I am not a fan of the minty tingle, I don't necessarily mind it. That being said, my enjoyment ended after what felt like 5 seconds until the gloss faded away. I could not get over how fast this gloss faded!!! I felt I had to keep re-applying just to maintain the colour and moisture. Over time, I noticed that whenever I used this gloss my lips would feel burnt by the next day, with the burning sensation lasting for a couple days after application. This happened on multiple occasions, until I finally got rid of the thing. I am unsure if it's the peppermint oil burning my lips (probably included in the "natural aroma/flavor" in the ingredient list) or some other ingredient, but this was no replacement for the lip glace! I purchased this product in Dec 2024, and the ingredients are listed in the attached photo. I noticed that at the time I reviewed this product, the ingredient list is as follows, and clearly includes peppermint oil - a known irritant: Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Octyldodecanol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Butter, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Menthone Glycerin Acetal, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Vanillin, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil, Tribehenin, Sorbitan Isostearate, Portulaca Pilosa Extract, Sucrose Cocoate, Palmitoyl Tripeptide1, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38, Limonene, Linalool. If you are looking for a smoothing, long-lasting gloss that will retain moisture, please consider the plumping lip glace!!! If you like this kind of colour, I suggest looking at Clinique's black honey options.
