[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I’ve never used Fenty products before today. I think this is my new splurge primer. The texture is amazing and works well with my skin texture to make a blurring effect. I think the price is good compared to similar products on the market, and this will be my new go to when I’m not using drugstore makeup.

Bad Bad Bad

I am a die hard fenty lover— ever since the brand launched, most of my makeup routine is fenty. This primer is AWFUL! As cool as it looks, I tried it with 2 different foundations (on separate occasions), and both times it made my makeup pull and build up. It is unwearable, it dries the skin and is not equipped to handle any layering. Fissappintin!

Very disappointed.

I've been using the soft matte foundation for a long time, and this product is truly disappointing in terms of results. From the moment you apply it, it doesn't feel mattifying at all, and the blurring effect is minimal. It was a waste of money.

Not a good primer.

It is super matte but it’s just too dry for my face and makes my face feel tight. Bring back the soft matte primer! Not for me.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I recently tried Fenty Beauty’s Grip Trip Mattifying + Blurring Primer, and I’d say my experience was a bit of a hit and miss. On the plus side, the formula really does deliver on its promise of mattifying the skin and minimizing the look of pores, giving me a smooth, filtered finish that helped my makeup stay put. It feels lightweight and comfortable, not too heavy or sticky under foundation. However, I also noticed a few drawbacks. The grip didn’t quite live up to the hype — while my makeup lasted longer than usual, I didn’t see the full 12-hour “locked in” claim. And although it’s marketed as non-drying, I still found it a bit too mattifying for my normal/combination skin — some spots felt slightly tight after hours. Additionally, the price point is pretty premium for a primer, so I expected flawless performance across the board. Overall, if you’re looking for an ultra-matte, blur-effect primer that helps your base wear better, it’s a solid choice. But if you have drier skin or want something that feels more moisturizing, you might want to compare a few options before committing.

I love the design of this primer. It's different and what they did with it is really cool. I only need 1 pump and it's enough to fill in the spots that I want to apply it. It helps fill in pores and make things look smoother. I actually like using it when I I use a more moisturizing foundation because it doesn't look as shiny. I don't notice a smel. It doesn't dry my face out or leave any unpleasant residue. It wears well underneath my makeup. It is definitely a decent primer that I would repurchase.

I tried it with my favorite foundation that I know is long lasting but the primer definitely helped it look good for over 12 hours! I had Halloween makeup on and it looked just as good at the end of the night as when I applied it!

I love that Fenty hydrating primer because my skin is a bit oily(I’m not a big matte person) and this was what was missing in my routine. It feels so smooth and glides on and because it’s hydrating I don’t get clumping. Also, I don’t need to use much at all for it to work. I also use this even when I am doing very minimal makeup to help augment my skincare routine because I like the slightly dewy look that it creates. As cool as the bottle looks, the product inside is even better.

Almost no smell, smells clean

The packaging was very elegant and simple. The texture was moisturizing but also like if there’s nothing there. It dries very fast and smooth
