Facial Fuel new formulation

I used Kiehl’s Facial Fuel for nearly 20 years. The new formulation is terrible. It seems watered down and requires you to use more of it when washing. Everything I liked about the original formulation is gone. Until the original formula is restored I will not be reordering Facial Fuel.

new ‘invigorating’ formula is horrid compared to the original ‘energizing’ formula, which is still listed front and center on the product page and all images. Whatever bottom line shenanigans went into this overt and sloppy shift, the company obviously knows it has a dud on its hands. Bad sign for the future of the brand. Hopefully someone else fills the gap

Not what’s advertised.

I’ve been using this face wash for a very long time. The new “invigorating” formula is not at all the same. I’m honestly happy it takes me twice as much to wash my face because that means I’ll be able to move to a different brand sooner. That you could completely change a product and still advertise it as the same thing is absolutely unconscionable. The new formula does not lather and leaves a weird film on my face. Buyer beware.

Product quality changed significantly

Received my delivery FF face wash after I finished my last 3 bottles I bought together. Glad had those 3 1 liter bottles stocked up as this new formula is really low quality and not at all the same as before. Very thin liquid and no lather. Will not buy it again. Kiehl’s team, as lot of consumers have pointed it out, please fix the formula of this product.

Why did you guys do this to us?

The new formula is just bad. The foaming action is down but more importantly the “fuel” is completely nonexistent. It feels like a very cheap product you’d get at a 2-star hotel. This is heartbreaking as Facial Fuel has been the most consistent part of my regimen for years. Although I can walk into any drug store and find something that works better than the current formula, I’ll never find anything that worked as well as this used to. Side Note: There should be some rule where if you change the formula the reviews reset and start all over.

New formula feels cheap

I've used the Energizing Face Wash for almost 10 years....the new formula is disappointing. The original formula felt like a luxury product. This new formula product is watered down and feels super cheap. It lacks the "energizing" component and feels like washing your face wtih a basic bar of soap. I would not buy this again and will have to look for new face wash for the first time in a decade. Im bummed. Like other customers, I noted that the label has changed as well. This seems like Khiels is aware that their new formula stinks compared to the old.

New formula is garbage!

Have used this for 20 or so years. Why change the formula? The new one is watery and doesn’t work well at all. Bring back the old formula!

Not same quality

Rating:* 2/5 stars I've been using Fuel Cleaner's men's product for years and have been satisfied with its effectiveness. However, my latest purchase seems to be more diluted than previous versions. I'm finding that I need to use more of the product to achieve the same results as before. *Pros:* - Still works, but not as efficiently as before - Familiar packaging and branding *Cons:* - Appears to be more diluted than previous versions - Requires more quantity to achieve same results, which may not be cost-effective

Bad new formula

New formula is bad. This is a whole different product. Not worth my money.

Facial Fuel Wash does the job.

A wonderful product that cannot be beat. I've tried others and always return to old faithful.

Terrible new product

I have been using this face wash for over 20 years and loved it. Received a new bottle a couple of months ago and tried it and was very pleased underwhelmed. The smell was different, there is no foaming and you have to use double the amount of product and you still don’t feel clean. I will never buy this product again!
