New favorite mascara 🖤

I got this a year ago from a sample, and I just bought the full size, and I can say it is 100% worth it. I have long, but straight and stubborn lashes that don’t like to hold a curl, but this makes my lashes stay curled and hold a beautiful shape all day!

Causes insane allergic reactions!

I loved this mascara BUT it gave me the worst allergic reaction ever. My eyes swelled shut and were red and watering. I’ve never reacted like this to makeup before and I’m not overly sensitive to products. Skip this

The mascara is dry. The product is not coming out of bottle. Application is not smooth. No worth in buying this mascara.

DONT USE- CAUSES EYE ECZEMA

I have never in my life, been sensitive to makeup products or any new formulas or had issues with using new products on my face. I got this mascara as a free tester and fell in love with it. A couple days later, however I realize a couple days later that under my eye developed an eczema like rash, my water line swelled up, and my eyes were unbearably itchy and burning. I thought it was something I ate because I wasn’t using anything new on my face other than the mascara, but I didn’t think it was related. After lots of research, I decided to stop putting makeup on my face to see what could be the issue. After a while, I continued to put makeup on my face, but I didn’t use any mascara, and finally my eyes cleared up. I was so happy and I went back to using my Lancome mascara without any effects. Yesterday I use the house of labs mascara again for the first time in four weeks and sure enough the next day my eyes were swollen, red itchy, and the rash reappeared. I came to the review section of this product to see that everybody is experiencing the exact same effects from using this product. I also see the Reddit threads and the TikTok’s with the exact same symptoms after using this mascara. Do not buy it!

Amazed at the length and volume with zero clumping. It’s so smooth and luscious. 10/10

Not great

I wanted to love this because I love the rest of this line but this mascara isn’t great. I love the brush but the formula doesn’t want to come out of the tube. I expected one swipe to see my lashes coated and they’re not. It takes 5 dips to get my lashes coated. Skip this product:

My fave mascara

This is my favorite mascara at the moment. I received a mini size as a sample and loved it so much I got a full size. I like how I don’t need to do a lot of coats to get good results

Warning!

Wanted to love this because I love every other product from Haus Labs however this mascara made a chunk of my eyelashes fall out :(

So disappointing

I used this product for maybe a week. I loved how it made my lashes look but after about day 2 I noticed my eyes were red and had almost a scab like texture underneath them. I thiought maybe it was because my dog laid on my pillow, so I kept using the mascara. After almost a week I realized it had to be this mascara. Horrible itching, redness, and swelling. Looked like I had an infection, so gross. Sad because I liked the way it looked.

Cute but not worth the pain

My lashes looked beautiful and I wanted to love this so bad but it gave me the worst blepharitis. I was eliminating different makeup products until I finally figured out that it was this mascara. It was awful and so painful

Irritant Ingredient

I love this mascara so much but realized something in it is irritating my eyelids and I have dry scales eczema patches. I have to stop using it. 😢

Cool concept, not so cool contamination

I so wanted to give this product 5 stars! Using bioengineered/ethical spider silk protein instead of synthetic fibers is such a cool way to replace microplastics in mascara! Formula is great, applicator shape is a little awkward. I used it regularly for ~2 months, but then my eyelids started to swell and develop a scaley rash every time I applied. Since I used it for a while before developing the rash, it might be a contamination/preservative issue. Would only use again if the issue is resolved.
