Smells terrible, works incredible

I've only left a handful of reviews in my lifetime. This rinse-off serum has worked a miracle. I was distraught with my hair breaking off and being overly processed (Asian with naturally jet black hair, bleached to be extremely light blonde - about one shade below platinum) to a point where I was even growing out my hair to prevent further breakage since I was going to the salon every 6 weeks for root touch ups. My roots have grown out so much as I was desperate to find something that would make my current hair feel like hair again. I saw this in store and then decided to buy it online (I like my free samples and a lot of stores here in NYC for some reason are incredibly stingy on samples...). I tried it this morning after I got home from work after a long 12.5 hour shift. When I was putting this into my hair after I used the corresponding shampoo, I actually threw up. I got a migraine shortly after. The smell of this is like extremely strong cologne that was sprayed in a tiny space. The kind with cetalox or ambroxan, or whatever else that has an 'x' in it that leaves a strong astringent, rubbing alcohol, heavily used kitty litter scent from some perfumes for those who are sensitive to it. It smells absolutely awful. The other two parts of this system don't smell nearly as bad. Even with the horrible smell and my unfortunate vomiting and subsequent migraine, I think this product is 100% worth it. I have not felt my hair feel this silky and normal for over 20 years. It feels unbleached and unprocessed. This is after 1 use of the entire 3 set system. I am amazed and totally sold, this is absolutely now easily my holy Grail for hair products even though I am having to spray perfume into my hair to cover this smell. I will definitely be repurchasing when I run out. I had to write this review even though I'm dead tired from work and I'm in bed feeling how great my hair is, so I can maybe help someone else bring this miracle product into their lives.

Disappointed

I love Loreal Professional products, so I was really excited to try this line. I love the shampoo, but the serum seems to add no additional benefit. Also the leave in is not great. My hair was frizzy after styling. Unfortunately, I won't buy it again.

Horrible smell

I couldn’t sleep last night after using this product because the smell is incredibly strong and overwhelming. It gave me a terrible headache. Despite reading several reviews complaining about the scent, I decided to give it a try, but now I regret it. My name is CeaCea, 31 female from WA &THIS FELT LITERALLY AMAZING on my hair! I was initially hesitant about Loreal products because I usually reach for more high end products however I was impressed by this "professional" Lo'real haircare product. It made my hair so soft, it felt like a luxurious hair mask. I already repurchased this product when mine ran out. Its amazing, if you were on the fence about purchasing it, don't be, it's worth every penny.

I use it every day

This product is fabulous, personally I have dyed blonde hair and it leaves it super soft and with my curls defined, it has also taken away my frizz and I live in a city where the humidity is intense. purchased I use the full size along with the shampoo and hair mask.

not as good as absolut repair cellular

So disappointed!! Ive been loyal to absolut repair for 10+ years, through various evolutions of the product line. I was excited to try the new molecular repair, hoping it would be as good as the absolut repair cellular or absolut repair lipidium. Nope! I’m very familiar using their whole regimen (shampoo + conditioning mask + 1-2 leave in treatments + oil). So when I noticed this new line had a shampoo, serum, leave in mask, and oil, I bought the whole line. Since the regimen is a little different, I read on the loreal professional website how to use, watched YouTube videos, and consulted my hairstylist who is familiar w L’Oréal Professionnel products before buying it. This serum does have a very different smell compared to all the other L’Oréal professional products. Very masculine, perfumey, oud. Upon application my hair soaked it up immediately as though it needed the treatment, but made my hair feel super brittle and dry. Even when I rinsed it out, I thought maybe it would feel softer or more glossy but no - there was just dry crunchiness. The product line definitely needs an additional in-shower conditioner/mask to use after the serum. When I got out of the shower I couldn’t even begin to comb through it with my wet brush. Honestly it worse than using no conditioner at all. I needed to apply a TON of the leave-in mask…. Maybe like 8-9 pumps? And an insane amount of the absolut repair oil just to be able to brush through wet hair. After blow drying with my Dyson on a low setting, my hair is very frizzy and still feels brittle, I’m almost scared to brush through it, I’m using my fingers to comb thru instead. Applied more of oil on dry hair to smooth it down. The leave in products are good. They don’t have the masculine smell of the serum. And they really did make my hair softer and shiny. And, considering I used so much of it, my hair is not weighed down at all.

so this stuff gives two different directions. it says shampoo, rinse, then apply this in sections on wet hair. wait one to two minutes then rinse. then apply mask. then another says layer with conditioner or mask. I rinsed out then applied mask. when I dried my hair it felt really thick and matted like. then my hair was completely frizzy. horrible. I used this on a special occasion too because I trusted the reviews and thought this was going to give me a good hair day. wrong! I'm going to try this one more time but this time layering my conditioner on top since directions say both it's really confusing how to know to properly use this. girl in video rinses out then puts in conditioner. I'll give it another try and if it comes out the same then this product is a no for me. did nothing except make my hair worse and matted and frizzy. the shampoo works well though.

Works, but stinks

Pic 1: before, pic 2: after. Okay first things first. The smell is violent. So so strong for absolutely no reason. Fully not necessary to do that. My hair has been bleached in the front previously then dyed black with Demi permanent initially then semi permanent to refresh it. My hair is also recovering from hard water damage. I would say after one use my curly/wavy and coarse hair definitely has more spring (example of the elasticity they say will be replenished) and feels and looks pretty good, though I can’t fully tell because I also applied a bit too much gel the day I washed with it. I’ll have to keep using it to see if it’s worth tolerating the aggressive smell.

AMAZING DAMAGE REPAIR!!

Ok, I have to say I was hesitant to be impressed with Loreal. I am 47 and either color or root touch-up my blonde hair 1x per month for the past 30 years. I use EXPENSIVE hair products like Oribe and Sisley. Loreal absolutely hit the mark with this product!!! I received the Deluxe Trial Sizes with purchase and used the shampoo and Serum. My hair looked so smooth, soft, volumized, bouncy, and youthful- I can't say enough about the results except this is MAGIC in a bottle!! I highly recommend for people who chemically process their hair. The scent is very nice, a bit strong, however absolutely worth the results!! I am definitely buying full sizes of all 3 products.
